Privacy Policy

Army ACT Prep ("the App") is operated by SkillForge Apps. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use our app and website at armyprep.uk.

What data we collect

We do not collect any personal data. The App does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use it.

Local storage

The App stores your quiz progress, scores, and settings locally on your device using browser storage (localStorage) or the device's native storage on Android. This data:

• Never leaves your device
• Is not transmitted to any server
• Is not accessible to us or any third party
• Can be cleared by you at any time by clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app

Payments

If you choose to purchase a Pro subscription on the web version, you are redirected to Stripe's secure checkout page. We do not see, store, or process your payment card details. Stripe handles all payment processing under their own privacy policy. We receive only a confirmation that payment was successful.

Analytics

On the website only (not the Android app), we use privacy-preserving analytics to understand how many people visit and whether the app is useful. We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, advertising SDKs, or any cross-site tracking.

Two things collect data:

• Vercel Web Analytics — records page views without cookies and without storing personal data. It reports aggregate figures only: number of visitors, approximate country, device type, browser, and the referring site. Visitors are counted using a temporary daily hash that cannot be used to identify or track you across days or sites.
• Our own event counters — we count anonymous actions so we can see whether people find the app useful: entering the trainer, starting a practice session, starting checkout, and completing a purchase. We store counts only, grouped by date. No IP address, no device identifier, no account, and nothing that could identify an individual.

Neither system can identify you, and neither builds a profile of you. You can switch off our event counters on any device by visiting armyprep.uk/?notrack=1 (and re-enable them with ?notrack=0).

Third-party services

The website uses two third-party services: Stripe for payment processing (as described above) and Vercel for hosting and the analytics described above. The Android app uses neither analytics service.

Children's privacy

The App is intended for users aged 16 and over who are preparing for the British Army Cognitive Test. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
